We are proud of our Capabilities
and our system that allows us to guarantee formidable results on each and every project.
To ensure that fonts, graphics etc. are in position all projects Watt Printers receives on disk are pre-flighted. As an extra precaution, a laser output is produced and compared with the original that accompanied the project. Our skilled craftspeople are committed to quality and our advanced equipment ensures accurate color and fit. A dylux (blueline) proof is produced for every project and a full color Kodak approval proof when appropriate. Proofs are reviewed by the prep department supervisor and the account executive before being sent for customer approval. Once the proofing system is completed the job is plated using film or our digital CREO CTP (computer to plate) process.
Before they are hung, plates are inspected for hot spots or flaws. Once the make-ready process is complete a press sheet is sent to the prep department for a "rule up" which ensures that everything is square and will back up properly. When the green light is given the job is on press. During this phase, ink density levels are constantly monitored for consistency. Press sheets are pulled during the run to check for inconsistencies. Make-ready sheets are clearly marked and used for any subsequent processes such as cutting, folding or die-cutting. With our Heidelbreg Quickmaster Direct Imaging press, 29" two color perfector, 29" six color and 40" six color perfector with tower coater, we have the capability to print a wide variety of projects.
Both our cutters are computer-programmed to ensure accuracy. The folding and stitching processes require a make-ready process requiring the department supervisor to inspect the project before and during the run. A final inspection occurs as the project is being packaged.
